How to Disable Facebook Face Recognition (Tag Suggestion) Feature

You may have observed the new feature in Facebook’s photo tagging if you have uploaded photos to Facebook recently. The new face recognition feature in Facebook can intelligently suggests the name of the friends for automatic picture tagging. The new feature is called Tag Suggestion where Facebook tries to automatically identify the faces in the uploaded photos based on the other photos where the people are tagged in. Therefore, you could be tagged by Facebook automatically when your friend uploads photos that contain your face in it. Well, it might be a helpful feature to reduce the chore of photo tagging but here are the steps for you to disable Facebook’s facial recognition for your profile if you are not comfortable with this feature:

Login to Facebook.Click at “Account” link from the top right corner and select “Account Settings” upon login.Click the “manage” link under the “Privacy” section.

Fix: Windows 7 slideshow feature for desktop background does not work

If you find that your Windows desktop slideshow, which used to work fine, does not work anymore, you may want to check out this article.

First make sure that no installed software is preventing changing of the wallpapers. Also ensure that your version of Windows 7 has this feature.

Windows 7 Starter and Windows 7 Home Basic do not support changing of the desktop background picture and consequently support the slideshow feature; so you might want to confirm that! But sure there is a  way to change your wallpaper in the Windows Starter and Basic Editions too!

Having done that, click on the Power icon sitting in your notification area and select More Power Options. This will open Control Panel, Power Options applet.

Now from your current/selected Plan, click Change plan settings and then Change advanced power settings.

Next in the Advanced settings, expand Desktop background settings and then Slide show.

Here from the drop down menu of each option, ensure that the appropriate options are checked.

How to Promote your Blog on Orkut with Orkut Promote Feature

Seriously Orkut has gone far behind in the social networking race, but In case if you still love Orkut and want to use Orkut to promote your blog and interesting stuff, Google has come up with the video of ‘Orkut Promote’, a how to use video which demos on how to use this Orkut promote to share your blog post, interesting pictures, videos etc. If you still figuring out, what is Orkut ? It is a social networking site from Google.

There is a button in the application panel of your Orkut home page named ‘ Orkut Promote ‘, where you can promote blog post, share youtube videos and pictures and send it for promotion. Once you’ve set, it will appear in your friends profile on the top right side with the small button ‘Promote it’. So if your friends click the ‘Promote it’ button, then it will be spread to their friends, so on it goes like that ..
